INTRODUCING: EDUARDO’S INSTRUCTION 2.0
The cutting edge in Guitar Education!
How does it work?
Step 1 - Upload a video performance
Step 2 - Get targeted multimedia feedback (Score/Tablature + Goals + Video Demonstrations and Strategies)
Outdated
Zoom/In person Lessons
It is hard to remember the important parts of the lesson after it’s over
Goals and strategies are diluted with small talk
Low accountability; difficult to know if your practice is staying on track
Waste time in traffic and scheduling/rescheduling lessons
Prone to scheduling conflicts
Playing one on one does not involve a process of preparing and producing a final product of any merit
Not conducive to self-feedback; you never know how you are sounding
A moment gone is a moment gone; no rewind
Poor micromovements go unnoticed; no slow motion
Teachers are REACTIVE; time constraints put pressure on instructors to act quickly with less thought
Dr. Costa's
Instruction 2.0
The recorded lesson can be referenced again and again
Goals are clear and precise, visually highlighted over the score or tablature
High accountability; focused practice is guided step-by-step using the marked score
Gain time by eliminating commutes and no need to schedule/reschedule
Record each submission at your leisure anytime before your deadline
Knowing your performance will be captured on video motivates you to prepare and perform at your best
Conducive to self-feedback; learn by watching and listening to yourself
I share my screen with your video, rewind as many times as needed and make suggestions showing your own hands
I play your video in slow motion to point out errors in micromovements
Teachers are ACTIVE; more time allows instructors to consider what is really best for the student
Common questions:
Will it have the human element I'm looking for?
Our relationship is personable - many students choose to share personal thoughts about the week, and I do the same. We have conversations!
Are you going to be able to see/hear me well?
I watch your videos on a 30-inch monitor using high-quality speakers and at a closer proximity than would naturally occur during an in-person visit.
I am not good with technology, is it easy to operate?
Yes! It is easier than a Zoom or Skype call. Most of my students are seniors who have very limited experience with technology, watch the testimonials! Contact me for a FREE meeting! We’ll get to know one another, and I’ll set it all up for you - no hassle! Your lesson is delivered directly to your email and can be accessed from any device.
I TEACH:
- Classical Guitar
I have been playing the classical guitar since I was 8 years old and know all the pitfalls and barriers you must overcome to reach the next level. I have developed a brand-new way of looking at guitar technique and can't wait to share it with you!
- Solo guitar improvisation
Are you tired of playing the same thing over and over again? Develop your improvisation skills with me, and you'll never get bored again! Your creativity will expand at an exponential rate. These videos were created on the fly, with no preparation - just grabbing the guitar and letting it happen. I can teach you to do the same
- Electric guitar (These are my compositions by the way!)
Learn how to not only play the right notes but to be consistent at it, your new level awaits you and all you need is the electric guitar and me ;)
- Music Theory and Appreciation
Understand how music works, get into the mind of composers through musical analysis and gain a new degree of appreciation of this beautiful art form called music.
- Ukulele
My intensive classical guitar training gives me a considerable edge in playing and understanding the ukulele. It is similar to a guitar, but with only 4 strings. That means all chord shapes and melodic lines are virtually identical to playing those strings on a regular guitar. It's a simpler and more accessible instrument for anyone who wants to learn their first musical instrument.
